Matt Rosenberg begins his 10th season coaching in the Longshots Baseball program in 2012. After serving as an assistant coach on the class of 2008 team for 5 years, Rosenberg managed the junior class team (17U) in each of the last four years, playing a key role in helping 14-20+ players from each team commit to play baseball in college.
In 2012, Rosenberg is managing the class of 2013 (17U) team. It is anticipated that another 20-30 players will commit to play collegiately again.
Matt is connected closely to many in the Midwestern and National collegiate coaching ranks. He is widely respected by that community to offer insight on players both inside and outside the program. He continues to be instrumental in scheduling our showcase events.
Rosenberg helps lead the Longshots' offseason training program, coach development clinics, and consults for the Longshots Board of Directors.
Rosenberg is recognized as one of the leading catching and hitting coaches in the Chicago area. He also instructs infielders.
