Brynn Nahlik

Brynn Nahlik has been involved with the Longshots program since it began in 1995 as the West Suburban Longshots.  2012 is her third season working in the program as a physical therapist, having graduated  with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University (St. Louis).  Brynn practices in Athletico’s Lisle clinic inside the Bulls/Sox Academy and has developed a specialty in both baseball and overall throwing-related injuries.  In addition to her experience within the industry, Brynn has attended throwing and injury seminars given by the Chicago White Sox training staff, the Chicago Cubs training staff, and Dr. James Andrews, the most prominent baseball surgeon in the world.

Brynn worked with the organization to develop a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for Longshots Senior Division players.  The program is age-appropriate, designed around the annual baseball calendar, and has separate pitcher and position player components. Brynn continues to work with the program to update and improve the program based on feedback and additional discoveries in the health and injury prevention fields.  Additionally, Brynn regularly attends practices and workouts, working with players on the proper execution of exercises and other physical development activities.

Brynn is one of the two physical therapists strongly endorsed by the Longshots program for any therapy and rehabilitation needs.  She also helps provide doctor recommendations to players as needed.

Prior to attending Washington University, Brynn was a four-year letter winner in water polo at Villanova University.  She also played water polo and was an All-American swimmer at Fenwick High School.
